It is critical that we you attend this meeting!  We will be discussing the book sale, identifying places to leave the sale fliers, volunteering for specific jobs and shifts and brain-storming to make sure your Ad Hoc Committee isn't forgetting something important! 

 

Bring any art books you still want to donate, all of the sturdy bags you've accumulated for the sale, and your schedules. 

 

Remember, the book sale is Sept 22 from 10-5 for volunteers, members and staff and Sept. 23 for the general public.

Monday 21^st 10 am & 1:30 pm

Saturday 26^th 10 am & 1:30 pm

 

September Shifts Open

All Fridays 10 am & 1:30 pm

Saturday 2^nd 1:30 pm

Sunday 3^rd 12 pm

Monday 4^th 10 am & 1:30 pm

Saturday 9^th 10 am

Sunday 10^th 12 pm

Saturday 16^th 1:30 pm

Feel free to let me know if you can work partial shifts any of those days or if you can do a “straddle” shift that covers a little bit of each shift (11 am – 3 pm for example). Every little bit keeps the ARC doors open for our visitors.

Future ARC Meetings

As we have a number of new ARC volunteers, I thought it would be good to send out a list of the previously scheduled meetings and have it as a reminder to all.

 

All Meetings are scheduled from

10 am – 12 pm in the

Art Resource Center

 

Sept 12, 2006

Oct 14, 2006 

Nov 14, 2006

Dec 9, 2006

 

The meetings are scheduled so that the Tuesday and the Saturday meetings will cover much of the same material. You do not need to attend both meetings, though you are strongly encouraged to attend one or the other. That staggers the meetings to every other month and it requires just a couple of hours of your time to acquire more training and learn pertinent information regarding the ARC.

Message to ARC Volunteers

We are cancelling the August 12 ARC Volunteer Meeting and rescheduling this meeting for the evening of August 31 from 6-8 pm.  It is essential that all ARC volunteers attend as our sole topic is the Book Sale to be held September 22 and 23.  The meeting will be held in the Classroom.  We can eat in that room so feel free to bring your sandwich or salad if you need to eat.  We’ll have coffee and tea and water available in the Museum Staff Room.

 

Come to the August 31 meeting prepared to listen and critique our plans for the sale, volunteer as much time both during sale days and for set-up and commit to the success of this sale.  Bring the sturdy bags you’ve been collecting which will be used to bag the books people buy.  We have a place to store these kinds of supplies and we’ll be able to see how many more we might need.
