TAM ARC Volunteers: July Schedule
Hello ARC Volunteers-
In Jurren’s absence, I am taking a shot at July scheduling to see if I still know how. The following shifts are still available in July:
Saturday, July 3 10 am – 1:30 pm
Saturday, July 3 1:30 – 5 pm
Saturday, July 10 1:30 – 5 pm
Sunday, July 11 1:30 – 5 pm (Incidentally, Andi and Noal, you are both both scheduled for the am shift on this date and the 25th. Please let me know if this is a weird scheduling glitch)
Thursday, July 15 1:30 – 3:30 pm ( a kind of in-between shift that we can play with the time if you would prefer more hours)
Sunday, July 18 10 am – 1:30 pm
Sunday, July 18 1:30 – 5 pm
Saturday, July 24 1:30 – 5 pm
Thursday, July 29 1:30 – 5 pm
Saturday, July 31 10 am – 1:30 pm
Saturday, July 31 1:30 – 5 pm
Please let me know if any of those open shifts are for you.
NEEDS RESPONSE FROM ALL OF YOU:
Also, I am in the process of setting up a fun ARC Volunteer field trip at the Collins Memorial Library on the UPS campus. I have a tentative date set-up for August 4 at 10:30 am. We could do a tour and then, for those that want to get together for a lunch following can do so. I am happy to get a reservation somewhere or assist in setting up a box lunch option through UPS. Lunch would be a no-host event and just a chance for us to socialize. Here is a possible “agenda” for the day:
1. Introduction of art collection and special databases
2. Special Collections and Archives ( a tour)
3. Outreach/Events planned
4. Box Lunch or coffee meet and greet and tour of Purgatory Pie Press and Collins Press
Let me know if you would be available and interested in joining us for this event. It is the chance to see how their library works, how they schedule and carry through with specialized programming, and how they incorporate art into their library. I would love your feedback!
