TAM ARC Volunteers: We are going to host a book sale!

Hello ARC Volunteers-

On Third Thursday in March 2011, the Tacoma Art Museum is going to have a book sale as part of a whole program celebrating literacy month. As a number of you participated in previous book sales here at the museum, I am hoping that I can count on your help for this one as well. I am starting to collect books and I would like to encourage you to bring an any donations you may have available. We will not be focusing just on art books for this sale, though I know those will be prized and expected. We can also take other non-fiction and fiction. I have already started with some donations that came in recently and want to keep up the momentum as I will also open this up to other volunteers and staff to ask for donations as well. It takes a lot of time and effort to organize this sort of project and if you are interested in taking on a leadership role for this, please let me know.

Dear All,

 

Not sure which weather I prefer… Currently in Oklahoma and some severe t-storms are on their way. The first days here were sunny and very warm. Now I’m waiting for my first tornado… J Camera is ready!

 

But, we have to think of the shifts in June. Even though I got quite a few reactions on my first email, there are still a couple of shifts open. Here’s the list:

 

Thursday 10, 10:00am – 1:30pm

 

Thursday 17, 10:00am – 1:30pm

Thursday 17, 1:30pm – 3:30pm

OR because this is the 3^rd Thursday of the month:

Thursday 17, 10:00am – 3:30pm as 1 shift

 

Thursday 24, 10:00am – 1:30pm

 

 

Saturday 12, 10:00am – 1:30pm

Saturday 12, 1:30pm – 5:00pm

 

Saturday 19, 10:00am – 1:30pm
