Hello ARC Volunteers!

The following shifts are available for the month of April:

Fridays, April 6, 13, 20, & 27 from 10 am – 1:30 pm

Saturdays, April 7, 14, 21, & 28 from 1:30 – 5 pm

Sundays, April 1, 8, 15 (Elsie, if you are back by then, let me know), 22, & 29 from 12 – 5 pm

Tacoma Art Museum Luncheon Update

Hello ARC Volunteers-

There has been a change in our luncheon plans for Monday, March 19. Instead of holding the lunch at Tacoma Art Museum, we are moving to the Pacific Grill at 1502 Pacific Ave at 1 pm. You may show up there directly. The reservation is under Jana and we will be seated in the back dining room. Several of you have RSVP’d but a number of you have not. Even if you did not work on the Artist Files specifically, we hope that you can come to recognize those who did. Below is the list of the volunteers who are currently on my RSVP list. If you are not on there and wish to be, contact me right away as I will need to let the Pacific Grill know our final number.

Volunteer Meeting March 10 (Sat) at 9:00 am in the ARC

 

This will be a repeat meeting of the material covered during the last meeting on February 13. If you attended that meeting, you do not need to attend this meeting as well (unless you want to!)

 

We will be discussing the Artist Files, Cataloging and shelf-reading, Teacher Resource, furniture for the ARC and other items of interest.  Please try to attend and remember:  Artist File Project Completion Celebration - March 19!

Deborah Settles

Hello ARC Volunteers-

I wanted you to know that Deborah Settles, an ARC volunteer currently fighting aggressive breast cancer, is coming for a visit to Tacoma Art Museum next Thursday, March 8 at 10 am. She would love to see familiar faces and say hello. Please do so if you have the time. She will likely be in a wheel chair and the treatments have left her bald. She will probably not look the same as we remember her but she is still wildly positive and as sunny as ever.

Luncheon Invitation to ARC Volunteers

ARC Volunteers-

You are invited to a congratulatory luncheon to celebrate the completion of the artist files! The luncheon is scheduled for Monday, March 19, 2007 at 1 pm and will be held in the café (Tacoma Art Museum is closed on Mondays so we will have it all to ourselves). Wear your party clothes and be prepared to pat each other on the back for a job well done. If you are able to attend, please RSVP by Thursday, March 15. Lunch will include a Honey BBQ buffet, assorted desserts, and a champagne toast.
