Tacoma Art Museum ARC Shifts for May

ARC Volunteers-

I hope to see you all at tomorrow’s Volunteer Appreciation party at 5:30 pm. I have some great free prizes for volunteers like you!

During the month of May, I have some good coverage but there are still a few shifts that need filled:

Monday, May 26                        10 am – 1:30 pm & 1:30 pm – 5 pm

Tuesday afternoons                    1:30 – 5 pm

Thursday, May 15                       5 – 8 pm

Friday afternoons                        1:30 – 5 pm

Saturdays, May 24 & 31             1:30 – 5 pm

Sundays, May 4, 11, & 25           12 – 5 pm

 

We have a meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 22 at 6 pm.

Please be as prompt as possible as we have a guest speaker joining us that evening, Jeanie Fisher from the Tacoma Public Library, to talk with us about collection preservation/conservation. Some other likely topics will be:

• A discussion on how to spend earnings from the book sale. Feel free to bring your ideas for consideration.
• Loren will demonstrate how to use on-line magazine indices.

 

If you have any other items you think should be included, please let me know.

As for the potluck…we have done well focusing primarily on salads, side dishes, and main courses, so I think that is a good plan once again.

Reminder: Tacoma Art Museum is open on Mondays starting on Memorial Day, May 25. If you are interested in taking on a Monday shift through the summer starting in June, please let me know.

Tacoma Art Museum ARC Meeting Cancelled on May 13

ARC Volunteers-

Due to a conflict for the guest speaker and more declining RSVP’s than actual RSVP’s, I am going to reschedule the May 13 ARC meeting and potluck for later in the month. I am waiting to get available dates back from Jeanie Fisher at the Tacoma Public Library and then I will get that information out to you.
