TAM Art Resource Center Calendar
Hello, ARC volunteers:
Happy Spring! At the bottom of this email is the calendar through the end of April. You will see we have quite a number of open shifts, so please let me know if you are able to fill any of them!
I have a couple other things I wanted to let you know about:
Art Resource Center Book Sale
This year’s ARC book sale fundraiser is happening Third Thursday, April 18, throughout the museum’s open hours (10 am to 8 pm). All proceeds support the ARC. Books will be half-price starting at 7:30, and the Museum Store is having an accompanying Spring Cleaning Sale that day as well. I hope you will come check out the selection, and also hope that you might be interested in helping out for some portion of the day! We need 2-4 volunteers at all times to help staff tables in the lobby, especially during those final hours. Please let me know if you are available for one of the following shifts that day:
9 am-12 pm (assist with setup)
12-3 pm
3-6 pm
6-8:30 pm (assist with busiest time and cleanup)
Teacher Resources Overdue Fines
I wanted to make sure you know that, if you encounter a teacher who is returning an item from the teacher resources section late and they need to pay a fine, you can direct them downstairs to the front desk (after checking their book back in and determining what they owe). Our ticketing system is enabled to take their payment there, and Visitor Services staff all know the process.
Missing Template Item
It appears that, after a recent computer update, an ARC “Signs & Templates” folder/icon went missing. Thanks to Todd L for tracking it down! Unfortunately, there was one item in the file he has not been able to find: the spine layout template for teacher resources materials. If anyone else has ideas about where that template might be hiding, or if you want to do some sleuthing of your own on the computer next time you’re in the ARC, please do, and add it back in to the Signs & Templates folder if you find it.
