Elsie Claypool, ARC Volunteer, suggested that I remind all of you about these upcoming lectures that are free to you. They are great way to become familiar with the exhibitions and a lot of fun too. I hope that you will join us!

 

Northwest Art Then
Wednesday, October 21

Curator Margaret Bullock offers an overview of Northwest art from the 1890s through the early 1950s and discusses how artistic developments here related to what was happening in the art world on a national level. This lecture is free with museum admission and is followed by an optional gallery tour with the curator.

Wednesday, October 28

Curator Rock Hushka explores the evolution of contemporary Northwest art. This lecture is free with museum admission and is followed by an optional gallery tour with the curator.

 Northwest Impressionism
Wednesday, November 11

10:30 am

Curator Margaret Bullock considers how impressionism took different forms as it moved from Europe to America to the Pacific Northwest. This lecture is free with museum admission and is followed by an optional gallery tour with the curator.
