I wanted to let you know about a change happening to the ARC computers today. Nothing big, just a change in screen savers. Please read below for more details.

Hi Jana

I asked Paula today for permission to install the www.TakePartInArt.org screensaver on all of our ARC computers. Paula said she'd ask you to send out an email to the ARC volunteers, explaining to them why we were doing this. I thought I would send you some info on TakePartInArt.org so that you can forward it to volunteers:

 

www.TakePartInArt.org is a calendar Web site managed by ArtsFund to which Tacoma Art Museum posts its events and exhibitions on a monthly basis. The museum is part of a group of arts oprganizations in Pierce County who lobbied and fundraised to be included on the site, which once only listed King County organizations. Future plans for the site (once ArtsFund has raised the necessary funding) include ticket sales, reviews, interactive social networking, blogs, package deals, and other resources. Tacoma Art Museum has a vested interest in the success of this site and has agreed, as a member site, to try to promote it wherever we can.

 

If you can include that info to the volunteers, I would be grateful. Let me know what they think about having the screensavers on those computers. Lindsay will be installing them today.
