TAM ARC Volunteers: Where's the sweeper? and other information

Hello ARC Volunteers-

It came to my attention today that the floor sweeper that is typically kept in the ARC has gone missing. A volunteer bought it specifically for that space with her own money so, if you know of it’s whereabouts or anything that could lead me to learning more about said whereabouts, please contact me.

I also noticed that some kind soul has brought in a cleaning fluid and put it in the back cupboard. Because of OSHA regulations, we cannot have random cleaning supplies brought in to the museum spaces. All cleaning supplies are required to have an MSDS sheet associated with them. That is a Materials Safety Data Sheet that tells us what to do if the product is inhaled, swallowed, gets in someone’s eyes, or is misused in some other way that may cause physical harm. As we would not have that for supplies we have not provided, that kind act of bringing something in could actually be a liability. If you need any sort of cleaning supply for that space, please let me know and I will contact housekeeping.

Finally, thank you for all that you do for Tacoma Art Museum! The space looks great and I really appreciate all of the skills and dedication you bring to the ARC.
