Fellow ARC Volunteers:

 

Nancy and I have been working to recruit, interview and choose the speakers for our planned ARC program, Picture This:  The Evolution of Children’s Book Illustration.  We have identified four speakers that we are really excited about and feel will both stimulate and education our audience.  Two of these people are professors at Oakland University in Rochester, MI who are well-known nation-wide, as knowledgeable about children’s book illustration, and children’s literature – its  history and development.  

 

Okay, here’s  the rub – due to the economic climate we need to raise money to pay for the programming expenses.  If you are able and willing to contribute any amount toward this programming, you may do so directly to Jana.  Please specify that the money is for ARC programming.  This insures that any and all monies WILL be used for ARC programming ONLY.

 

Just so you know, we are using this funding for:

Travel Expenses

 Speaker Honoraria

                 Materials.

 

In the next month you will get more information about the speakers, the program and all the tasks we are responsible for between now and March 28.    Please be prepared to offer help where you can.

 

Again, if you can support the programming monetarily, send funds directly to Jana specifying that they are to be used for ARC programming.
